This was a VERY interesting book. I finished the book within the san of a day and a half over the 4th of July weekend. After seeing how good the book was I would DEFINITELY like to read the old adventure module.
Out of the entire book there was only ONE THING that grated on my nerves and that is SHANHAEVAL the weakling. He could never do anything on his own. He was always crying over his dead mentor when he should have been avenging him by making minced meat of the temple dwellers. He fell in love at first sight like that moron Lancerlot from the King Arthur stories. Some ALWAYS had to pull Shanhaeval out of trouble as he sat there like an oaf on multiple occasions just waiting for the enemy to kill him.
This DnD character is almost as sentimentally weak as Drizzt Do'Urden from Forgotten Realms. Other than the weakling elven wizard the book was a great read.
